Scottish Nationals 2023
Welcome to the 2023 Scottish National Bolt Action Tournament, the event returns again for its 9th year. This year the event is run by Craig and Paul with the support from Great Escape Games as part of the British Bolt Action Championship.

Location:
The event will be run over two days at Knightly Games, 2-6 Hopetoun Street, Bathgate, EH48 4EU
Timetable:
Day One: September 23rd
Registration: 8:30 am
Game 1: 9:30 am – 11:45 noon
Lunch: 12:00
Game 2: 12:45 pm – 3:00 pm
Game 3: 3:15 pm – 5:30 pm
Day Two: September 24th
Game 4: 10:00 am – 12:15 pm
Lunch: 12:30
Game 5: - 1:15 pm – 3:45 pm
Pack up and prize giving 4:00 pm onwards
Players should be aware while we will try and stick to this schedule we may over run on timings.
Force Selection:
1000 Points
Up to Two Generic Reinforced Platoons or One Generic Tank Platoon
Players may use additional units if they say that they can be included in generic reinforced platoons.
No additional Army PDF’s
No War Correspondents
No War Planes
Books published after 1st August 2023 will not be valid
FAQ/Errata Document publish after 1st August 2023 will not be valid.
Army lists are to be sent to BAScottishNationals@gmail.com by 1st September 2023 for checking and then when approved made available for all to see. If there are any errors they will need to be corrected.
Painting and Modelling:
Painting should be 3 colours minimum
Models should be based.
Models must be WYSIWYG and should resemble what they are supposed to be, for example weapon upgrades need to be modeled onto the vehicles.
Models should be 28mm in scale.
Scenarios:
Each round will last a maximum of 2 Hours 15 minutes.
A warning will be issued when there is 30 minutes on the clock and then again at 5 minutes by the tournament organizers.
When the tournament organizers call time, players may finish the current dice activation, no new order dice will be drawn.
Missions will be released prior to the list submission date.
Battle Ready:
Each player is expected to arrive at the event with a selection of dice, Order dice, Pin markers, Tape Measure, objective markers, FAQ, Errata, Army Book, Rule Book, Copies of their Army List.
Scoring:
Win – 5
Draw – 3
Loss – 1
Secret Mission+ 1
The winner of each mission will be based upon the victory conditions laid out in mission briefing.
Secret Missions:
Each mission will have a secret mission that is worth an additional 1 point to the player that is able to complete it. TO will provide objective markers for these extra objectives.
Game 1 - Eliminate the enemy HQ
Game 2 - Secondary Objective, Infantry can capture this if there is no enemy infantry within 1" of the outside of the objective.
Game 3 - Have one of your units in your enemies deployment zone at the end of the game.
Game 4 - Secondary Objective, Infantry can capture this if there is no enemy infantry within 1" of the outside of the objective.
Game 5 - Eliminate the enemy HQ
Players should record the total dice that they are able to kill from the opponents army during each game, this will be used as a tie breaker.
A scoring sheet will be issued to each table during the round and will require to be signed by both players.

The intention is to have a prize table as in previous years however this will depend on the prizes available.
Player Conduct Rules:
Rulings: Should you have a rules query during the event try and resolve this between you and your opponent, if this is not possible contact the TO however the TO decision is final.
Laser Measures:
These may only be used once you have declared your action, use before this stage will be considered pre measuring.
Slow play:
Should a player believe their opponent is playing slow then, if possible, discuss this with your opponent as there may be a legitimate reason for the slow play, should this fail to resolve the matter contact Craig or Paul.
Offensive Language:
Please be aware that this is an event which is being held in a public gaming store and while we will be in an area far from the shop can all players ensure they keep bad language to a low level.
Offensive Imagery:
Offensive imagery or iconography is not permitted in this event, and should you have concerns that your force contains offensive imagery please contact the Tournament organizers. Should models be brought to the event that contain offensive imagery they will not be allowed to be used in the event. This is to comply with the Venues rules.
Order Dice:
Players should present there order dice to the TO when they register on the day so that they can be inspected due to recent production issues.
Gaming Dice:
Players are expected to attend the event with regular D6, should a player feel there is something wrong with their opponent’s dice a replacement set can be requested from the Tournament Organizer.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 7 - COOKIES

Here is a list of cookies that we use. We’ve listed them here so you that you can choose if you want to opt-out of cookies or not.
_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_shopify_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
_shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, Stores information about the contents of your cart.
_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
